Pink Ribbon Days was held during the last Friday/Saturday in October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) at Seams Like Home Quilt Shoppe in Anchorage for both 2004 and 2005. The breast cancer event included: a silent auction, free food, hourly door prizes, free “chemo cap” knitting classes, and educational booths. 100% of money raised was given to Alaska Breast Cancer organizations and 50 to 100 chemo “comfort bags” were distributed annually.
