Pink Ribbon Days

Since 2004, PRD Charities, Inc. has given thousands of dollars to existing breast cancer organizations in Alaska. Funds raised through grants, auctions, and sponsorships are donated for Alaskan Breast Cancer research, education, advocacy and patient relief. PRD donates 100% funds raised by the Pink Ribbon Days silent auction.

In addition to giving 100% of silent auction funds raised to established Alaskan breast cancer organizations, PRD Charities, Inc. has volunteers who annually assemble and distribute about 350 “comfort bags” to breast cancer patients in Alaska.

PROGRAM: In the spirit of compassionate giving, three nonprofit organizations are collaborating to give $50 gift cards (from various retail stores) to financially-challenged cancer patients receiving treatment in the Anchorage area. Many cancer patients travel from outlying towns/villages to receive chemotherapy/radiation treatment in Anchorage. They may need assistance in a small way with food, gas, clothes, etc. This program will help to quickly address these needs without endless paperwork.
